In the previous part of this small article series, we discussed how the psychological part works in this anti-aging system, but we did not discuss exactly what you could do about it, aside from the shrink part. Now that I actually explained how it is connected to the body, I will go about the idea one more time and afterwards I will give you some solid tips on what you can do to clear your mind, adjust your general well-being through your brain and so on.

Understanding the Aging Process

What most people do not want to understand is why the aging process happens – and they do not want an actual answer to that question. The question is asked actually in a way that indicates the fact that they actually want to know why they could not be left aside – why did it had to happen to them. The faster you get at ease with the problem the easier it will be for you to start doing something about it. The first time you encounter the problem, it will not be easy for you, which is for sure. Nevertheless, everybody goes through that, there is no reason to despair. Remember that despair is no way to approach any problem for that matter – in this case, at least, the shock can be an excuse. Nobody likes to understand that they are getting older and that there is no way back. After all these thoughts cloud your mind you may have a rather upset state of mind, but there is no need for that. Understand that each state in your life comes with its advantages – you may not see many advantages then, but imagine the fact that being older means to be more mature and you can see things at a different level now. You should never be upset because you are getting older, especially if you are getting wiser in the process.

What you can do to calm your mind down

Ok, since you generally got the grip on how you should approach the aging process, it is time to discuss what you can do to generally have a better attitude when it comes to yourself and the world.

Do the things you like – Most people avoid doing the things they like because sometimes they feel like that is too expensive, too childish, or that they do not have enough time. Never consider those – at that point, it may seem like a bit expensive, but think again, maybe you really afford it but you just are afraid that it will be a useless purchase. Of course, do not buy things if you do not have enough money because it will make you feel more depressed afterwards. Regarding the childish issue – do not stop and think that going in a playground may be too childish for you – it may be a nice childhood remembrance moment. If the playground is empty you can even play around, and feel like a kid again. There is another thing you can do – go out with some friends on a field and simply start running, yelling like a kid. You could also play ball, go swimming, splash the water and so on. It will surely make you feel younger and with no problems at all. You can even go on a trip and do all those things you did not do as a kid. The last part – the timing – there is always time for things that count. That is a very wise thing, and you should really take it in consideration – you should not always avoid doing the things you like just because it seems like you do not have time. Make time in your schedule and soon enough you will be able to do all the things you want. It is just a time-management thing.

Go see a shrink at least once a week – We briefly discussed this in the previous article, but I have to mention some other stuff as well. Remember to pick a shrink that you feel that may be a friend with your. Go see a number of shrinks in the beginning, and discuss general things with them and finally settle with the one that is closer to your heart. Remember that you will have to open up to your shrink and it would be impossible to feel comfortable around a person that makes you feel to small or in any other way. Going to the shrink should be like going to see an old friend – it should be a pleasure, and it should be a healthy thing.

Do things that will make you feel good around the house as well – Anti-aging is all about a great state of mind – if you managed to take into consideration all the tips above, then this will be the easiest one yet. Take a long bath with bubbles and candles from time to time, get some time on your own when you read books or listen to your favorite music. Invite a few friends over for coffee or tea – never leave them behind since they are the people that bring a smile on your face.

Considering all these advices will not only make you a happier person but they will also truly slow down the aging effects. You see, aging has a lot to do with your mind and once you start going easy on everything you will have very few problems to deal with even with your health. A calmer mind means a more beautiful skin so reread the tips above and consider the most suitable of them!

As I mentioned previously, your body works as a whole, but a whole that depends on your mind more than anything else does. Most people feel as if the psychological effects of growing old are something temporary and something that you can easily deal with. The psychological effects are not the only problem but the general state of mind regarding aging. First, stress should be out of the equation – people feel stressed by the fact that they do not look as good or that they have to spend money on surgery or other similar procedures to look young again. The acceptance is not only a hard process but also many times it is out of the question. That is a wrong thing to do, and I will approach this problem immediately. You have to learn also that stressing your mind is actually stressing your body and you will see the effects on your skin and on your general well-being.

The Zen Theory

I am not actually going to talk about the Zen approach to the subject, but I will try to give you a small insight on how you should educate your mind. Often we see people getting angry because of no apparent reason, you see them outburst or you simply see them stressed out at any time. If you are that type of person it may be time to change your whole attitude. You see, it is not the fact that the people around you might get upset or may not understand – you may not care about that. However, you should care about yourself and your body. Usually, useless annoyances not to mention useless troubles you put on your mind will aid to the aging process. Will make us look older and worse by each day, not by each year. Just take a look at a person that has been working in a stressing environment and then at a person that has been working in a light, quiet and friendly environment. You will certainly see quite a difference. The Zen theory is mainly about being calm – is mainly about understanding that some problems are that minor that they do not need that amount of stressing. If you cannot do your own meditation at home, you can try discussing with a shrink. Shrinks are very popular nowadays and you can get most of your problems off your chest through his help. It is not the fact that he is a shrink that will help you, but that somebody will listen to your problems and try to help you see the essence of things that will actually help you. If you have such a friend, it would be better to ask him for such sessions rather than spending money on a shrink.

Zen theory comes to a lot of aid when it comes to anti-aging. Not only that you will be able to understand what aging is from a calm, calculated position, but you will also understand what you can do about it. You will also be able to slow down the process by simply not being so stressed all the time about a million things.

Within middle age, most people tend to become a bit more worried about their physical appearance – not because they want to enhance it but mostly because they want to re-gain it. You see, after having a straight clear face for almost 30 years it is difficult to accept that you have 50 or 60 years ahead of you filled with wrinkled skin, lack of beautiful body and so on. For women this is even more difficult to accept this fate – therefore, they always want to pick one of the numerous solutions. You see, aging is not all about a straight skin or a less beautiful body – it implies numerous other problems such as higher probability of disease, aging pains (mostly rheumatic pains) and other such problems. This is why you should understand what aging means for the human body and do something to slow down the process.

Aging is not only about skin, but what can we do about it

As I clearly mentioned before, aging is not only about wrinkles and fine lines, but when we have to draw the line we see that our skin values a lot to us, sometimes more than pains and other problems. Therefore, there is something we should do in this area too. Well, you can start by picking one of those anti-aging treatments. There is a stereotype in the anti-aging market that no product can stop your skin from going older and cannot do anything for the existing damage. Nothing less true – this stereotype appeared mostly due to the great number of anti-aging treatments that simply did not work. Nevertheless, that does not mean that you cannot slow down the process and rejuvenate your skin at any time using the right treatment.

Taking care of your body while in its aging period

Your body is aging at any time in your life – when you are a child and you are growing, you can still see that process as an aging one. It is just that up to an age, everything is young and beautiful, while later regeneration is a slower process and youthfulness slowly disappears. You can slow down its arrival through a healthy diet and a great exercising program – getting out the toxins from your body and only eating healthy stuff will rejuvenate your looks from the inside-out and it will feel great!

Generally, all men and women are even a bit scared by aging. Women often worry about their looks, and most of them actually lose their looks after a certain age – which is not imperative, but they simply let it happen. You see, aging has a certain psychological impact on a woman’s brain – it tells her that she cannot fight with time, but she can merely stand and wait for it to come. Nothing less true! There are people that look young in their fifties; therefore, there is no need to despair if you have seen your first wrinkle. Indeed, we age and our skin grows older just like we do but that is not a reason for shame or something similar. A woman has to be beautiful giving a certain age – you would not expect a woman in her 40s to look as if she just got out of high school, and it would not be too normal, either.

Unfortunately, most women see this problem with a great amount of fright and sometimes simply lack the ability or will to do something about it. For example, any woman should understand that sports mean a heavy source of youth and health – actually, sports is what can keep a woman’s body young and beautiful, including her face skin. But there are millions of women out there that would simply use a good cream or lotion rather than picking up a physical activity. Another thing that women all over the world should understand is that they mainly are what they eat – therefore, if after a certain age, especially after they are married they drop their diet and start eating very oily foods or fat foods, the effects will be seen on their faces (and bodies as well). Keeping a healthy diet is not just a thing teenagers do, is a thing everybody should do if they wish to remain healthy and young for as long as possible.

Aside from this, discussing with a dermatologist at a certain point in their 20s may solve some problems. The doctor may prescribe creams and lotions that will postpone the beginning of any skin aging, or you can discuss with him other possible preventative treatments. Do not go and consider any treatment without your dermatologist’s say so because you might end up doing more bad than good.
