I had this talk with many people – they were all telling me that I told them enough about the general idea behind a anti-aging diet, but what should you actually eat in order to protect your skin from free radicals or from anti-aging damage in general. I usually say that anything that is healthy and you actually like eating should be good enough for this diet. Of course, several foods should not be avoided if you plan to have a straighter skin, but nevertheless. In this last part of the eating and anti-aging sequence of our anti-aging treatment article, we shall discuss precisely what are the foods that you should look for when you want to get rid of most of those nasty anti-aging effects.

Getting rid of the bad fats

As I mentioned previously, what you should first to is eliminate all those bad fats that are lying around your body doing nothing but harm. Bad fats are one of the greatest contributors to our aging process therefore, they simply have to go. Not only that, but bad fats also encourage that type of low energy – this means that no matter how much you sleep you will feel powerless and tired. Sickness and disease are more of a risk when your body is filled with bad fats. Therefore, in order to avoid them, you should try eliminating the following foods from your diet: fried foods, greasy foods – and most of those so-called junk foods. Of course, since there are no fat-free foods, there has to be some sort of good fat around there. The good fats should also be consumed with moderation – no matter how good they sound it does not mean you can stuff your body with them. These good fats can be found in foods such as fish oil, avocado, olive oil and a few such others.

Antioxidants for fewer wrinkles

In any anti-aging diet, antioxidants take the lead – if you are serious about your anti-aging plan at least. Not only that, but by consuming anti-oxidants you will diminish the risks of heart disease as well. Foods that contain quite a serious amount of antioxidants are: blueberries, blackberries, raspberries (mainly most forest fruits), tomatoes, spinach and green tea. In regards to green tea – you can use it as a coffee substitute, if you think you can go only with it throughout the day.

The Importance of Raw Vegetables

Finally yet importantly, eat many vegetables and you will soon have a straighter skin. Nevertheless, remember to keep your vegetables uncooked since only in this state you will benefit from all the minerals and vitamins that can be found in them. Whenever you cook your vegetables, you might lose some of that anti-aging ammunition.

Since we just discussed about the connection between eating and aging, we can easily discuss what a healthy diet means. First, a healthy diet does not necessarily involve starvation – you do not have to eat only veggies and eat only water. I will dismiss that very common misconception in these first few lines of the article. When we are talking about a healthier diet, we are actually discussing about quality food that will only give our bodies the nutrients it needs and just a small percentage of harmful material. Now, let me explain one thing to you – you may not really imagine how bad fried, oily things can be for your body. Imagine that all the fat your pour out from the pan it goes into your body no matter how much you avoid it. As much as you would want it to go away, it will not. So why not avoid eating in the first place rather than taking medicine or herbal supplements to take rid of it later.

What a healthy diet actually involves

Therefore, we said that we should not take into consideration that common misconception, but what exactly is a healthy diet, what does it imply? Well, a healthy diet mainly implies a very small number of toxins and other harmful elements while involving a great number of vitamins and supplements that will rejuvenate the whole body. We discussed this before, and I commented that there are numerous supplements that can aid in your aging process – there is nothing like a good omega 3 supplement diet to make your skin looks simply ravishing. Oh, but there is – what about combining an omega 3 diet with a diet that involves a lot of Vitamin C and Vitamin E? These last two vitamins aid in rejuvenating the skin and give it a very light and healthy image. You would not image the benefits of such a mixture. Of course, you could even increase the amount of liquids you drink – for example, you could drink more than 2 liters of water each day. Water tends to clear out all toxins and other harmful elements that may come even with a healthy diet. This way you make sure, they do not remain in your body. You can even stick to herbal tea (or green tea) if you want to bring more detox elements in your body. Just do not exaggerate with green tea since it can be harmful at very large quantities (more than 700 ml per day).

That is the general outline for your new diet, but since we discussed the psychological part already, I need to mention something. Remember that this is not necessarily an anti-aging diet because there is no such thing. It is true, by following the advices mentioned above you will see a huge difference on your skin, no matter if you start when you are young or when the process has already begun. Of course, I would recommend the diet to be picked up earlier since it postpones the serious effects of the beginning of anti-aging, but – it is never too late. What I am actually trying to say is that you should not feel like you are obliged to start this diet – it has to come from inside of you – you have to know that you want to stay young for a great period. Moreover, not only young, but healthy as well. Just imagine how good it will be to be almost 40, have the skin of 30 years old and feel like when you were 27. It is not impossible, but you have to help the body in order to help yourself. Until you do not fully understand the reason for this diet, do not start it at all, as it would be impossible for you to follow it all the time.

How strict will everything be

Well, it would be a good idea not to go overboard with those fatty products, but it is not a problem if from time to time you want to eat a burger at McDonald’s or a juicy chicken leg at KFC. Nevertheless, do not make it a habit, keep in mind what your purpose is, and you will not go there more than once or twice a month. Frankly, you are not losing anything – you will have a great body, a great skin, the rate of diseases will be lower – so why would you ruin that?

It is not necessarily necessary, but you should concentrate on foods that will aid in your anti-aging process. Eating healthy is one thing that will surely help, but giving the body something extra to fight with against that nasty aging process will surely make a difference. I mentioned above something about Vitamins C and E and omega 3 – make them a part of your diet.

We discussed in the previous parts of this article series about the impact a certain state of mind has on our body. The result is now obvious – the more stressed we are, the more wrinkles we get. Of course, this is just a rough outline – it is not necessarily, what it will happen to you. Aging depends on numerous factors, and it is important to take all of them into consideration when we want to consider a true anti-aging treatment. I will advise against simply taking up a cream and lotion treatment and that is that. Well, enough about general stuff, since now I should proceed with the next issue on our anti-aging treatment – foods and beverages. People keep saying “you are what you eat” and frankly that is the truth. Eating healthy does not only mean a healthy body but a younger and youthful skin as well – you would not imagine the difference that a person over 40 sees when they switch to a 80-90% healthy diet. What it is important to note is the relationship between anti-aging treatments and general eating tips.

First of all, most weight loss plans teach us that it is important to lose weight in order to let our skin breathe and to make our body more slender and alive. When you weight like 160 kg it is rather difficult to feel that alive and to feel as if you have energy for three people. I am not saying that only at that weight you will feel like that – actually, as soon as you have some extra weight you will feel the difference. Usually, a bit of extra weight will make your face seem straighter because the fat cells tend to elongate the skin making it look straight – but while your face looks a bit straighter, your whole body looks like something hanged on a bolt – it is simply cascading, and the wrinkled legs and arms will certainly not win you a beauty contest. Nevertheless, losing weight is not the thing to do after you started your aging process – at least not in a fast way. You see, when we get older our skin loses its elasticity therefore if we lose weight fast; we are left with … skin. A lot of it – and it takes quite a while until it reshapes to your body. Aging and losing weight can be a tricky course – it would be better to simply stick to a healthier diet and just that.
