Since we all know the quotation “mens sana in corpore sano” we should immediately understand the use of physical exercise. Nevertheless, you may ask – what does physical exercise do for our anti-aging treatment? Well, as we get older, our skin tends to lose its elasticity thus the appearance of wrinkles in some cases is due to this as well. The most visible effects can be seen around the waistline, and around the upper parts of our legs. While having a few extra pounds may make our face straighter, it may result in an ugly body. Through physical exercise, you can adjust your overall look – you will retrieve some of your skin’s elasticity while remaining in shape.
Physical exercise for anti-aging treatments
The main thing you have to do is put your whole body in motion. By doing this, you will not only increase your skin’s elasticity but you will also be able to burn any extra fat and get rid of nasty toxins that may be lying around. It is impossible to have a body completely clear of toxins, therefore it would be recommended to do as much as you can to get rid of them. There are several sports you can pick up in order to keep in shape and look good:
- Tennis – Probably one of the most fun and comfortable sports that you can start learning. The main advantage of tennis is that you do not actually need to learn it in order to play, because the principle is easy – hit the ball and make it fall in the other one’s terrain. What is even better is that tennis is known as a great sport to shape your body. You can start tennis even earlier to keep in shape all the time, and you will surely benefit from the results – your legs will be more beautiful, you will start having a better-shaped waistline, not to mention that your proportions will be a lot healthier and beautiful. In later years, tennis helps because it stretches the skin all around the body, from your face to your legs, and will eliminate many signs of old skin.
- Jogging – Jogging is another nice sport you can pick up especially if you like to spend time listening to your music and look at the landscape. Jogging helps by burning a heavy amount of fat and putting in motion most of the muscles in our body. It is also a great group sport since you can go with one or two friends and run around the park. Remember to keep hydrated throughout your work-out if you plan on looking good.
- Cycling and roller-skating – Cycling has always been considered a great sporting activity since it helps improve legs muscles and general well-being. Nevertheless, keep in mind that if you like cycling you will not be using your face muscles or toning your face skin in the same way as if you were playing tennis or jogging around the park. Roller-skating works on the same principle as jogging with the sole difference that puts some extra weight on your legs. If you want to reshape your legs it will be great, but for general skin straightening it would be better to pick one of the first two sports.
Working on your skin from the outside – Creams and lotions
Finally, we reached the point where we can freely talk about treating aging effects from the outside. If you can follow most of the advices, you can find in this article series you will have a very small need of creams and lotions. However, in order to fully do a good job it would not be a bad idea to find a few miracle-creams and lotions. My advice is that in order to find one that suits your skin best, you should discuss with your dermatologist. He is the only one who will be able to tell you your skin type and what kind of cream you should use. Mention the fact that you are on an anti-aging treatment plan and what it involves. Try talking to him about possible herbal treatments since our skin better receives those than purely chemical ones. If you plan to search for a treatment yourself, do not forget to look for collagen-based treatments since those will help you treat wrinkles. Look for thermal water sprays as well, and pulverize them on your face whenever feel the need to refresh your skin – you will surely feel the difference. Use only cosmetics made for your type of skin – or simply use anti-aging foundation or powders since they will protect you while you are wearing them.
